This is the first post for my brand new site! Its taken me quite awhile to set this up and I'm still not sure that its exactly how I envisioned it, but it'll do for now. I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read!
I hope to add tidbits of information as frequently as possible, but mostly I would like to keep everyone apprised of my journey toward publication!!

- I WRITE HISTORICAL ROMANCES SET IN THE MIDDLE AGES, MOST OFTEN IN THE HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND. I AM THE MOTHER OF THREE AND WIFE TO A WONDERFUL HUSBAND. I AM NOT ONLY A WRITER, BUT AN AVID READER. I BECAME OBSESSED WITH BOOKS WHEN I WAS ABOUT 11, SPENDING EVERY WAKING MOMENT IN THE LIBRARY SCOURING EVERY YOUNG ADULT BOOK I COULD GET MY HANDS ON. AND THEN, I FOUND THE SWEET VALLEY HIGH BOOKS. I COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF THEM. AS I GOT OLDER I MOVED ON TO HISTORICAL ROMANCES. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DRAWN TO SCOTTISH HISTORICALS, WHICH IS FITTING SINCE I DESCEND FROM CLAN GRANT. BUT, UNLIKE SO MANY OTHER AUTHORS, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT WRITING WAS SOMETHING I WANTED TO PERSUE. IT WASN'T UNTIL I BECAME A STAY AT HOME MOTHER THAT I REALIZED I NEEDED SOMETHING OTHER THAN MY TITLE AS WIFE AND MOTHER TO DEFINE ME. I HAVE SEVERAL MANUSCRIPTS IN THE WORKS RIGHT NOW. TWO SCOTTISH HISTORICALS AND A STORY ABOUT A VIETNAM NURSE. PLEASE JOIN ME IN MY JOURNEY TO PUBLICATION.

Hi Andrea .... and thanks for the invite. My first thoughts are this is a very navigable site. I've found that "cluttered" sites, that challenge the searching abilities of a reader are not productive. This site is very clear ..... I had no problem locating information.
I'm sure you already know this - but my only advice is to write about your passions. If it's not in your heart, it won't work.
Yesterday, was "Selection Sunday" for the NCAA Basketball Tournament. This is actually a very big event in the sporting world (ESPN, Fox Sports, etc.). I didn't write about it, because it doesn't interest me. And, I'm not going to fake it.
I've developed a "core" group of readers .... which has taken the better part of a year. They would see through any effort to write about an event I don't truly follow. So, I'll stick to Major League Baseball, NASCAR and the NFL.
You're a great writer .... I've read your material. I just bookmarked this site .... and will visit often.
